Grandad comes to visit.

The boys' Grandad Pete (my Dad) came to visit them for an afternoon this week. He came with a bubble rocket for them. They loved it. Here is Miles blasting the rocket. Toys like this always present an opportunity to practise 'taking turns' (!). They got a lot of fun out of it.

We went out for an 8 mile cycle with the kids in the trailer. We stopped at various landmarks including the Buddhist Temple at Willen Lake where we did some yoga poses (me and the kids) on the standing rocks and also found a baby frog which the kids stroked and we put back near the beautiful pond outside the temple.

The sky was full of thunderstorms, it was quite exciting to see them all around us but not actually be in them. There were three storm cells that we could see.

Here Grandad is playing with the boys at the stone circle at Willen North Lake.

Grandad got them a smoothie and a croissant each and paid for them to have a go on the 'hook a duck' stall. They both chose the same thing (as usual) and came away with a cheap plastic police gun set which they were both delighted with.
