Scrumping

I took the kids scrumping at Woughton on the Green orchard in MK. There are absolutely dozens of apple trees all for public consumption. Caden was in his element, actually skipping off through the trees and begging to be lifted into the branches to knock apples down for Miles to collect. It was heaven for them. they both had such a good time. We scrumped at the orchard and we foraged in the hedgerows for Mirabelle plums, blackberries, another variety of plum that I don't know yet (maybe small greengages) and loads of varieties of apple. Needless to say we have been eating apple crumbles and plum and apple juice for a few days. They keep asking to go back to the orchard so I think we will be back there a few times before the year is up.

Caden is showing me his bowl as he goes off to collect the ripe pears from our garden. He loves the outdoor life, collecting fruit and foraging and he loves the chickens so much. He is always out there stroking them, picking them up and collecting their eggs. Miles is scared of the chickens, maybe not so much when he is bigger.

Caden is picking some unripe apples here, we are going to leave them a little while longer.

Miles is helping Caden to fill up the tub,

The tub is so full of fruit!

The chickens are here... Miles scarpers!

The boys are playing outside lots again. They haven't had much TV (they keep losing it for bad behaviour, being rude to me, fighting - yes they have begun fighting and arguing now Miles is getting bigger. Oh Joy! It was good for a time though!) and Caden lost the iPad for a week because he left the tap on downstairs right after we had a big flood in the house due a tap being left on in the kids bathroom.

Morocco 2023

Morocco was Miles' 13th birthday present. We were excited as it was our first trip to Africa.  We found an amazing restaurant for Mile...
