Berlin Wall & Naturkund Museum 2016

The next morning we were up bright and early, we had our lovely breakfast. The jungendgasthaus is really fab for food! Cheap and plentiful! So we set off with full bellies and couple of stashed boiled eggs for snacks. Obligatory stop at the swings... then on...

This baby looked just like Miles used to...

Then they wanted cakes so we stopped at a fab looking bakery and they ate MORE...

Look at that face...

First stop the Natural History Museum - Naturkund Museum... It's really great value, it was 7 euros for the three of us. It is a fantastic museum. I didn't take that many photos as we were too busy looking around everything, talking about it and taking it all in. There was the dinosaurs bit and we were lucky enough to get in on some ongoing workshops that day..

Dino. Skeleton in the grand foyer...

Observing the properties of dinosaur poo!

Fossil leaf prints... interactive exhibitions..

Then we found the geology section... the boys loved this and we stayed here for ages.. so many incredible rocks, all colours and sparkles... they ran around choosing their favourites in each section. A really impressive collection! Also dinosaur teeth you can touch... yay!

This was one of Miles' favourites.

Then we got the tram to the Berlin wall. A pretty depressing sight... concrete on concrete...

We didn't go in the wall memorial museum, too sombre and too factual for little boys.. they preferred to run around it and be a part of the same space, taking in whatever they would...

The bars delineate the place where the wall was..

The walk up and down the old wall is covered in educational photographs, excerpts and dates, you really get a sense of how it must have been.

We went off in search of raw juices and raw food...

The kids chose their own juices..

We had a raw lunch. It was tasty.
