Interrailing 2017 Part Cinque - Milan to Nice

The next day we took the train early, as you can see from our daily train itinerary here. It was all covered under the interrail pass and we have never had any major problems with connecting trains. The most difficult thing we have found with that is trying not to leave something behind on the platforms (which we have done, more than once).

I took so many photos of this train journey. The one from Ventimiglia to Nice is simply stunning! It's worth doing the Ventimiglia to Barcelona just for the beauty. It's fabulous! Mountains and sea views and Italy to Monaco to France to Spain, all on one route!

 Sheer drops

Beautiful bays and cliffs...

Italian landscape changing to French... all the while, the Med., close by.

We finally arrived in Nice and went looking for Kirsten, one of my best friends and her kids. They were at the park... The park in Nice is brilliant. It's enclosed, there is something for all ages and a great water fountain play space.

Caden and Miles had decided to use some of their own spending money to buy Luki and Megan a present each. As the boys were quite into Beanie Boos at this point, Miles bought Megan an owl in Milan, just like his. Miles bought Luki a bee... which was appropriate coloring since Luki is Batman!

This was genuinely a highlight of the entire two weeks for the boys, they adore their friends, they have known each other since babies and they will always have this close bond.

We took them down to the beach.. Miles and Megan are always close friends, Caden larks around

Les poseurs!

It wasn't that warm to be honest.... They got straight in!

and sat down in it...

These really are beautiful photos of a lovely friendship!

errr yeah and then more posing!

Later that evening the kids all jumped about making noise at our friend's place for their sleepover. We only had one night to share with them but they will always remember it!
