Forest School

Today went really well. Caden had forest school and this time (second week) there were no problems at all. He was looking forward to the fire pit and the marshmallows.

This is a deer track they found in the mud.

This is one of several baby worms that Caden found.

The boys are making an animal trap here.

Toasting marshmallows by the fire.

A very cool stick!

Wearing his medal at the fire circle.

I took Meg and Miles off for a play at Jo's house, they were very excited to see each other. They call each other 'best friends'.

At Jo's house, Miles was very taken with the hairdryer and made me look beautiful lots of times.

Then he tried to make Meg look beautiful but Meg wasn't having any of it and Miles ended up blow drying the playmobil animals. We played with dinosaurs, playmobil and building blocks. They also had a few hilarious games of hide and seek and Meg pretended to be a dog while Miles got food and water for her and took her for a walk. We all snuggled up on the couch and watch an episode of Clifford which was very sweet. They had a great time just playing together for two hours.

When we got back to forest school they were having their closing circle.

In the afternoon they had their friends Megan and Arthur round, they spent a lot of time hanging out in their bedroom on the top bunk, listening to their kid's music CDs and dressing up.

Then Megan went home and the kids had their Wednesday picnic and movie night with Arthur. They all danced around to the theme songs on movies and lego ninjago series that they watch and were very funny.

The boys really are settling down now into their lives, they seem so happy and are really making good progress with their friends and the things they are involved in every day. Caden is getting especially creative again, he is getting back into making creatures, drawing and cutting them out and is half way through making a little collage of them for the glass on my kitchen door. Photo to follow.
